Qualification to become a Licensed Chaplain through IALC requirements are astringent and require both education and proper experience. Once all requirements are met there is testing and further accrediting processes that are prerequisite to licensing.
A minimum of 7 Years Ministry experience with an established ministry while carrying a licensure and or ordination from that organization. Applicable references and background check are mandatory.
Educational levels are a minimum of a Masters degree in this related field or counseling or therapy or psychotherapy is required. A copy of Licensed and accredited College or University and or Seminary is required inclusive manuscripts.
